Church Office

Harlow Kibbel - Business Manager

Phone:   715-659-2426

I have been employed by Immanuel Lutheran Church, School, and Child Care center since 1999 as Business Manager. I received my education as a non-traditional student at Mid-State Technical College, North Central Technical College, and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Extended Degree Program. My major is in business with a emphasis in human relations. My wife Nancy and I were married in 1977 and we have two children and two grandchildren. Nancy and I do most everything together beginning with home improvements. We installed an above ground swimming pool ourselves when our children were young and after 20 years we took the pool out and replaced it with a block patio. A few years ago we transformed our vegetable garden into another block patio to better enjoy evenings around a campfire. Working together we have installed carpeting, laminate, vinyl, wood and tile flooring in our home over the years and look forward to continue doing projects together in the future. We also love to camp in our local county parks as well as in state and private parks. Immanuel Lutheran offers marvelous programs to transform children into young adults with strong Christian values. It has been a pleasure for me to watch children make that transition in the time they are at Immanuel.

Heidi Schwanz - Administrative Assistant

I am originally from Chili, Wisconsin, where I grew up on a dairy farm. Being married to a pastor, I never imagined our family would be blessed to return to my original home. We are parents to 4 sons and 1 daughter. We have 3 daughter-in-laws and 1 grand-daughter. I love being the Administrative Assistant at Immanuel. What a privilege to see children from Child Care, Day School, Sunday School and Confirmation, learn to share the saving love of Jesus.

I am extremely close to my family and love spending time with them. In my free time I love to hunt, fish, shoot my bow, read and talk J I can’t wait to share Christ with all my students as well as the families of Immanuel during my ministry here!

Renee Griepentrog - 4 Year-Old Kindergarten

Hello, my name is Rene Griepentrog, and I teach Four Year Old Kindergarten. My parents brought me to Immanuel Lutheran when I was a child, and now my husband Dean and my children Reba and Luke are also members. I have been blessed to work with children most of my adult life. The best part about spending time with the children at Immanuel is being able to pray, sing, and learn about Jesus together. Thank you for the gift of working with your child; I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child better. Every child is a blessing from God!

Jill Helgerson - Grade 2

Hi, my name is Jill Helgerson. I'm currently the second grade teacher here at Immanuel. I have been blessed to teach here since August 1991. During my years here I have taught in several different grades and subject areas. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, scrapbooking, and exploring Pinterest! I also enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Paul, and I have two children. Our daughter, Jordyn, is currently in 7th grade and our son, Aidan, is in 4th grade. They both attend Immanuel. My favorite thing about teaching here is the opportunity I have each day to share Jesus with young people.

Beth Hollatz - P.E. / Computers

I graduated from UW-Marshfield/Wood County with an Associate Degree in Arts and Science. I continued on at UW-Stevens- Point and received a Bachelors of Science Degree, majoring in Sociology and minored in Native American and Rural Social Work. I worked in my field with a focus on children and families, volunteered in several areas, and filled in as a substitute teacher. I found that my love and passion was working with the children and families in the school setting. This brought me to teaching for Immanuel in 2010. What a diverse and glorious road it has been! I married my best friend, Kurt, in 1998. We have been blessed with two amazing daughters, Bailey-Ann and Halle. Both attended Immanuel beginning in 4K until their graduation at 8th grade. They both continue to be involved by volunteering at special events.

Charles Jennings - Athletic Director

Hi, my name is Charles Jennings. I am the Athletic Director and Basketball Coach at Immanuel Lutheran. The 2015-2016 school year was my first year at this position. I have seen a lot of growth in the students when it comes to athletics, sportsmanship, academics, teamwork, and their quest for a closer relationship with God. I am in the process of re-introducing more sports at Immanuel Lutheran (Currently we have soccer & basketball and hope to explore volleyball, cross country or run club, softball, cheerleading and Flag football). I enjoy playing basketball, softball, football, baseball, volleyball and soccer. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. My wife, Patti, and I have 2 children, Kaitlyn and Aaron, who have both attended Immanuel since 4K. We appreciate the curriculum provided by Immanuel, the attention and effort the staff provides on a daily basis to further the growth of all the students, and the Christian environment that allows our children to walk in the path of God and grow closer to Jesus.

When I was younger we lived in ND, SD, Portugal, and North Carolina, and that is where I graduated high school. Than I found myself in Neenah, WI, and then Marshfield, WI. I have lived in Marshfield for almost 10 years now. I am Married to William Duncan. We have been married for almost 9 years in July. We have one 10 year old Daughter, Katrina Duncan. She has attended Immanuel Lutheran since she was in 3 year old preschool. Now she is in 4th grade. I have been a childcare teacher at Immanuel almost 4 years in September. I love working with children, as they teach me so much. What I get out of working for everyone of these children is their love for life. It's not about time with children. We so often get busy with out day-to-day activities, and they take time to stop and smell a flower and notice little things such as a worm in a pile of dirt. It is very rewarding.
