MISSIONS
In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus couldn't have made it any clearer what he
holds out before individual Christians and Christian churches as the
purpose for their existence. Remember how he put it, "Go and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you." Immanuel Lutheran Church takes
that command very seriously and has committed ourselves to missions
and ministries beyond ourselves.
We support with our offerings and prayers the mission work of four
missionary families sent by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
overseas: the Kashenovs in Kazakhstan, the Meyers in West Africa,
the Scheiwes in Asia and Rev. Ted and Rebecca Krey serve in the Dominican Republic. Due to political
difficulties no information can be shared about Scheiwes family.
Please pray for them by name.

We also support with our offerings and prayers the filling of the
spiritual, educational and physical needs of four children through
Compassion International: Flori Malinao in the Philippines, Itzel Matus
from Nicaragua, Veerajayam Subaiya in India and Emmanuel Zambrano in El Salvador.
Dear Friends and Members: If you would like to join us in supporting these
missionaries and Compassion Children this describes what we are committed to doing:
We committed together as a congregation to:
- pray for them each week in worship
- remember them in our prayers at home
- give above and beyond your tithe a specific amount of funds that is dedicated to "Go Missions"
If you haven't been dedicated to this cause in the past, you can dedicate funds
by adding an amount, above and beyond your weekly offering, and filling in this
blank on your offering envelope:
Go Missionaries
$_________
If you do not have offering envelops from Immanuel, simply send a check with "Go
Missionaries" in the memo and mail it in or drop it off to us at anytime. This is
the only money used to support these missionaries and Compassion Children. We
appreciate all those that have been and will be dedicated to Immanuel supporting
this missionary program.
Additionally Immanuel Lutheran Church and School support the work of
the following local, national and international charities: Soup Or
Socks, The Salvation Army, Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan House,
Hannah House, Ronald McDonald House, Christmas Angel Tree, Wood
County's Just Friends, Habitat For Humanity, Compassion In Action,
Boy Scouts of America, Lutheran Deaf Ministry, National Alliance On
Mental Illness, Lutheran World Relief, Wheatridge Christmas Seals,
Lutheran Hour Ministries, Orphan Grain Train, Bethesda Homes, and
The Lutheran Womens Missionary League.
We are blessed to be a blessing!
Feel free to contact us with
